Dive Marine Services Pte Ltd management and similarly, employees have a responsibility as well as statutory obligations to collaborate on all safety matters, exert self-discipline, maintain safety awareness and prevent injury to themselves or others.
The Company will ensure that appropriate safety information is researched, communicated and made readily available as and where required. The monitoring of safety performance and the evaluation of the Dive Marine Services Pte Ltd Safety Policy will always be an ongoing process.
Dive Marine Services Pte Ltd is committed to the implementation of requirements as defined by the Ministry of Manpower, The Factories Act Rules & Regulations.

Dive Marine Services Pte Ltd will, in consultation with workers and their representatives in so far as is reasonably practicable:
- Carry out Hazard and Risk assessments that may be involved with rope access techniques and take steps to eliminate or control them.
- Provide and maintain all the necessary equipment to allow safe access and egress from the place of work.
- Provide and maintain plant and equipment ensuring all personnel involved in the use of that plant and equipment are fully trained and competent to do so.
- Maintain a strict regime regarding qualified and competent workers and to ensure those workers understand and recognize that they themselves have a Legal duty and responsibility for the health, safety and care of themselves, fellow workers and to the general public.
- Provide training, instruction and information where necessary in the use of hazardous substances or equipment.
All employees of Dive Marine Services Pte Ltd have the responsibility and obligation to co-operate and comply with the Company's Industrial Rope Access Procedures document. They are required to exercise self-discipline, maintain a high level of safety awareness and prevent injury to themselves or others. In addition they are required to comply with all relevant internal and statutory obligations.
Manning Levels
Manning levels for Rope Access techniques will be subject to Risk Assessment in order to also ensure that autonomous rescue capability is maintained in any foreseeable situation as well as clearly meeting the manpower resource needs for the task(s) involved. In all cases personnel must be IRATA qualified technicians.
In an onshore situation and not working over water or in a confined space there will normally be a minimum of two (1 x Supervisor Level 3 and 1 x technician Level 1 or 2) for straightforward tasks that do not have any identified hazards.
In an offshore situation or when working over water, in a confined space or when the task has identified additional hazards the minimum manning level shall be three personnel 1x Supervisor Level 3 and 2 x technicians Level 1's or 2's.

Qualifications
In accordance with the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) general requirement for certification of personnel engaged in industrial rope access methods (Edition 2), Dive Marine Services Pte Ltd only recognises the following three (3) levels of qualification.
Level 1
A technician who is able to perform a limited range of rope access tasks under the supervision of an IRATA approved Level 3 Supervisor.
Level 2
A technician who is capable of rigging working ropes, undertaking rescues and performing rope access tasks under the supervision of an IRATA approved Level 3 supervisor.
Level 3
A supervisor, who is capable of complete responsibility for work projects, is conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation and has a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques and holds a current First Aid at Work certificate.
