Any afloat platform including vessel needs maintenance and repairs from time to time due to the nature of its function and often than not, it is not always feasible or possible to have such structures to be towed or transfer into the dry-dock unless absolute necessary. We have 27 years of experience in the repairs and maintenance of such structures while the structure in afloat, anchored and even during normal service conditions and in emergency repairs situations, we are prepared and ready to be flown to any part of the world to conduct such tasks. The rapid expansion of the maritime, oil and gas industry development over the past 30 years had led to the design and build of massive structures capable of personnel accommodation, communications, logistic storage, transport facilities as well as production and processing facilities. The design of a platform / vessel will depend upon an evaluation of a number of factors: depth of water, size of field, high or low production, prevailing sea conditions, production costs and capital requirements. Legislation concerning inspection requirements has primary dealt with vessels and in particular the "fitness" or seaworthiness of the structure itself. The regulations also outlined survey requirements necessary to maintain certification of a vessel through its offshore life.

Underwater CCTV, Hydro blasting, Cleaning, Wet Welding, Cutting, Burning, Inspection / Surveys, NDT Inspection and underwater painting can be achieved without the need of entering the dry dock. Special surveys must be undertaken in view of the vessel being offshore most of the time. There must be a detailed examination of essential parts of the structure, especially on the welding beads, the external hull plating condition. Inspection and surveys are often extended to sub surface areas as well. Non-destructive testing may be required on parts of the structure, particularly those parts near the splash zones, to check for corrosion.

With exposure to the harsh sea environment, repairs and maintenance is crucial to the performance of such super structures. Repairs performed while the super structures are afloat minimize loss of operational time. Permanent repairs includes wet welding underwater of insert plates,etc.
